Does anyone know where I could buy parish records on cd for Worthington, Ibstock, Shepshed and Whitwick?

I've emailed the LRFHS several times but heard nothing  Huh

Hi Mike

Many thanks for the offer. I am looking for a marriage between John Baxter and Ann in Ibstock around 1860. I want to find out Ann's maiden name. Their first child was John Newbold Baxter born in 1860 in Ibstock. If the marriage also gives the father's names that would be a real bonus!

There are loads more, but I don't want to abuse your kindness.

There is a marriage record of a John Baxter March q. 1859 Leicestershire 7a - 234 on the same page there is listed an Ann Price.   Undecided

I had an in depth look at the Census returns 1861.~81.

The birth places given were
John Baxter….. Merevale > and latter on….. Twycross.
Ann. …….Ibstock.

I favour… a  Marriage at Atherstone April May June Qrt.1860.   
Unfortunately there are three males but only two females on the page

One of which is John Baxter
This is due to the Ref. No’. not being clear……

Plus I see that the Birth Registration for John N. Baxter was
Jan. Feb. Mar. Qrt. 1859.
Atherstone District.
Cert No'. 6d.328.

So let’s hope that the Records Office have St: Andrew’s Parish Church Atherstone Parish Marriage registers……

Atherstone being split between Leicestershire & Warwickshire

Thanks very much both. If anyone has access to Woodhouse Eaves baptisms please could they do a look up for me? I am looking for a Samuel Towers b c1789. I believe he married a Sarah ? this was most likely in Shepshed. Now Samuel gives his birth as Loughborough on most censuses but on one he gives Woodhouse Eaves, so I suppose it could really be either. Their first child that I have was Samuel Towers b 1819 in Shepshed. All the Samuel Towers called one of their sons Samuel Towers. I am descended from 5 generations of Samuel Towers, the only one who wasn't called it was my dad!

Would your cd include Thornton marriages? I am looking for the maiden name of Mary, who married Samuel Overton. Their first child Arthur was born in Thornton in 1827, so the marriage would have took place around this date (I think!)

Getting back to your original request for info on a Marriage
John Baxter ~ Ann. ? Atherstone District. 1860.

I’m sorry but The Leicestershire Records Office Do Not hold these Parish Registers
I did have a look at Marriages in Ibstock for 1860 but did not spot anything.

May I suggest you ask on the “ Warwickshire Section “
on this site Hopefully some one can help you.
