Look Up - Allen Marriage Index

Hi
Very very new to this. Is it possible for anyone to look in person at an entry for the Allen Marriage Index? If so could someone have a look at the entry fpr William GLASSCOCK AND Lydia WOMWELL who married on 18 May 1813 in Meesden.

Hello and welcome to Rootschat.

I will search the Meesden Parish Records on my next visit to Hertford Record Office (HALS) and let you have details of the 1813 marriage.

The Allen Index, now known as The Hertfordshire Marriage Index is now online.  However it does not give as much information as the Parish Register which Peter has kindly agreed to check for you.

Hi Barbara,

I found the marriage in the Meesden Parish Records   ...   ...   William GLASSCOCK, bachelor of this parish and Lydia WOMWELL, spinster of this parish were married by Banns on 18th May1813 by George D.Goodyear, Curate.  Witnesses -  W James Glasscock and James Smyth.  All signed except James Smyth who made his mark (x).
