Hi

In July 1908 the Rimutaka had on board 102 assisted passengers and 43 of them were nominated by friends in New Zealand, are there any further records of assisted passengers or who the nominated friends would be

I do have the find my past list passenger list and I am pretty sure it is her it also ties up with the date my dad gave on when she arrived in NZ

I was trying to find out if there was anymore information. The nominated by friends, I found this interesting as somewhere there was an Aunt with her or to do with her coming to NZ. I was also hoping to try and identify age if I could, as over 12 was considered an adult

Hi Helena

The "Ships Papers" might contain this sort of information.
They are separate to the Passenger Lists.
Unfortunately they didn't always survive, or if they did, some are illegible.

It might pay to contact Archives Wellington and ask them if they have them on microfilm for this voyage.
Not sure if they will check for you, or class this as "research" and therefore charge, but it's worth asking.
