Hi,

I wonder if somebody could please do a lookup for me?

I am looking for Amos Fowler; botn Harlington 1844 - I would expect to see numerous offences.

Why not check the Bedford Gaol website at http://apps.bedfordshire.gov.uk/grd/

Hi,

The Besford Gaol Website is a great resource (and includes a few entries for Amos Fowler) - but is by no means complete.

I am guessing that there are a few incidents involving Amos that do not appear in the online register.

Amos Fowler         trial18 Oct 1859    Bedfordshire,
Amos Fowler         trial 1 Jan 1862    Bedfordshire,
Amos Fowler    b abt 1843    trial 12 Mar 1868    Bedfordshire,
Amos Fowler         trial 12 Apr 1881    Hertfordshire
Amos Fowler         trial 18 Oct 1887    Bedfordshire

The first one isn't the Amos to whom you refer, the next three are covered on the Gaol site, and the last one hasn't been transcribed yet by the Gaol. But the Gaol has two convictions that Ancestry hasn't got. So neither is complete!
