Alfred Hart mann -Rochford area .. in 1911--Guildfor.d Road

I am trying to find out more about my great uncle Alfred Hart Mann and his wife Alice Francis Cox. He was born in Fulham but by the time he married he was in Prittlewell.On the 1911 census he has been married 6 years and has no children. He is living at 103 Guildford Road Southend  on Sea.He was a Goods Station Carman working for Marsh and Son.My question is ---is Guildford Road still there and what kind of area is it and what did Marsh and son deal with.

Found in 'Kelly's Directory of Essex, 1914',

p566, Southend

Marsh & Sons Limited, furniture removers, 31 & 33 Leigh road east & Victoria avenue. T N 78
