IGI:  JAMES PLATTS - MOTHER HANNAH PLATTS
Christening: 23 SEP 1783 Halifax, Yorkshire, England

Can anyone check the Halifax parish for me to see if any more details are shown. Only the mother is shown as parent on the IGI, I am wondering whether if church register says if she was unmarried or any notes.

Hi,
Have looked at the records on CD and find  an entry as thus.

Plats, Ja's  23/9/1793  Spins'r.

on the line below between it and the next record is as follows.

This entry has mother's name and surname crossed out, and a margin note replacing the entry with one for Ja's Crapper.

Hope this is what you are looking for.
