Does anyone know of any meat factories in the Chester Le Street area during the early 1900's?

Hi

I have had a look through the 1914 Kelly's Directory (on http://www.historicaldirectories.org/hd/ ) and could not see any meat factory.  There was the headquarters of the Chester-le-Street Cooperative Society which may have included some sort of meat factory.  There was also a number of butchers and pork butchers, who probably did their own slaughtering since I cannot see any sign of a public slaughter house.  One of the butchers looks as if it is limited company, Eastmans Ltd (72 Front Street), and they may have manufactured meat products for sale in other outlets.

All the best
