John William Vickers & Emma Robson my grandparents
Can't find baptisms or parents names

My 3xgr grandfather John Greagg married Jane Rudd 18 Jun 1798 at St Mary in the South Bailey Durham.

They had children
Jane baptised  5 Jul 1799 St Nicholas Durham
Mary baptised 5 Jun 1801 St Nicholas
Ann 24 Aug 1803 St Nicholas
George 27 Apr 1806 St Nicholas

On the baptism records of Mary and Ann father was native of Medomsley and mother native of Gainford.
I have looked on IGI Bishops Transcripts but can find no trace of either parent. I have looked in neighbouring parishes but still with no luck.

Jane Rudd died before 1809 as John Greagg married Elizabeth Liddle 3 Sept 1809 St Nicholas and went on to have 6 more children.

Any suggestions as to what to do next. Would looking in the Parish Records help?

Looking at the parish records could help as I have found quite a few bits missing from the bishops transcripts on the pilot site.  One parish I am particularly interested in has a 30 year gap, which is the timescale I need to look at.  I am going to have to arrange a trip to Durham county hall to look through the parish records I need.

Thanks Emma , I thought that may be the case.
I got all my dates from IGI but when I went to check them in Bishops Transcripts I found absolutely nothing even though the years I was looking at were included.
