Thank you all for this amazing collection of information which has filled quite a gap in my jigsaw!

The elusive Walter Beaven ward (born 1857) was a cousin to Arthur Ward Beaven and Edwin Sloper Beaven - walter's father was alfred wRD BORN 1826 (brother of Robert Christie ward and Mary Christie ward).

Walter Beaven ward is not found in the UK after 1881 - unless he changed his name - or emigrated to Australia or NZ as did Arthur Ward Beaven and Edward Sloper beaven.

Still hunting - but the trail must be getting warm now!

Thank you all for all this amazing information - thanks also for the link to the Heytesbury site -I have now sent an email directly to the lady researching the family in New Zealand - fingers crossed!
I have never come across afamily with so many intermarriages across so many generations- I will not have a tree but a spiders web when this is complete! Glad I am doing it for a friend!
