Launcher ex-application error
« on: Tuesday 01 September 09 23:48 UTC (UK) »

Everytime I open up my computer I get this message:
The Application failed to initialize properly (OXC0000135). Click on ok to terminate the application.
I presume I have a programme open somewhere but don't know how to find it, can anyone help. I did try to download a programme to see if my broadband was working to the correct speed but I had problems with it so I uninstalled it - could it be something to do with that.
I am on Windows XP

You will need to do some detective work using msconfig.

Click on Start >> Run and type: msconfig in the box and click OK.

A tabbed menu should appear and you will need to click on the Startup tab.

What you should see are a load of startup processes which launch programs at startup.  What you will need to do is search on each process name until you discover which one is causing the problem.  Use Google to search on each process name.  When you dicover the rogue process, deselect it and it should solve your problem.
