And a little more meat on the bones Smiley

BEAVEN Arthur Ward, Born 1856 and died 1944, authored "Profit Sharing" a portion of the address delivered by A W Beaven before the Industrial Association in Sept 1918.
Publisher - printed by Whitcombe and Tombs [Wellington NZ]  Published 1918.

Umm,

Just wondering if there could be a mis-print, but these Ward/Beaven threads on the current NZ and Aussie boards are somewhat intriguing.   I have noticed that the Cemetery index for Bromley shows his date of death is some more than four months before his burial.    Four months is rather a long time ....

His address was listed as 96 Bealey Ave, Christchurch, age 87 yrs, occupation Warehouseman,  place of birth Unknown .... .   Date of death Tuesday 29 Feb 1944,  Date of Burial 8 July 1944.

Bromley Cemetery, Block 34,  Plot number 219

I have checked NZBDM online references and d of d there is 29 Feb 1944 (yes it was a leap year that year, I checked that too).

Cheers,  JM

Would you like me to check if  there is a headstone and see what it says.

I am not far from the cemeteries on the east side of Christchurch.
