Hi

Apart from a vague submitted entry on IGI , I cant see any trace of the guy - cant see him in 1841 or 1851 census etc...

What is the source of the info you have about him - wifes name, yr of birth etc? Have you got him on a census, or evidence he died pre 1841?
Did he and Hannah have any children - if so who, when and where?

See https://www.hertsdirect.org/ufs/ufsmain?esessionid=1B92E6A48202729941F47D288C7C69F3_1

There's a Charles Glasscock married Eliza Sharp at Bishops Stortford in 1834

As your information is so vague and as Glasscock isn't a common name there might be a connection

1841 has a Charles, aged 65 (so older than you said) , in Bp Stortford, but with what appears to be a wife called Sarah ..

Aha! Finally found the one you are referring too! I guess that this 1841 census is your source

1841
HO107 434 1

Dunmow Rd Bps Stortford

Charles 35 Coachsmith
Hannah 30
Philip 14
Amey 11
MAryann 9
Charles 6
Susan 4
Henry 1

Remember ages are rounded in 1841

If you get a birth cert for Henry, it will give Hannah's maiden name.

Birth
Henry Glasscock
Apr/May/Jun 1840
Bishop Stortford ref 6 492

The Herts Marriage index has Charles Glasscock married Eliza Sharp at Bishops Stortford 31 Aug 1834 (as said above)

Maybe of interest:
Death recorded at B'Stortford in Mar Qtr 1843 for an Eliza Glasscock (6-359)

Unless Eliza was actually Eliza Hannah and she decided to use her second name  Undecided

They are still in the same place from 1841 - 1881 Census:
1881 has:
Charles Glasscock 74 Born B'Stortford Annuitant
Hannah Glassock 73 Born Birchanger Essex Formerly Laundress

Address: Dunmow Road, Bishops Stortford

The link that Bedfordshire Boy gave will also give you a few options for possible parents for Charles as there are quite a few Glasscock marriage between 1789 - 1808, many of which are in Bishops Stortford.
