William Smith - Orlestone
« on: Friday 21 August 09 17:07 UTC (UK) »

Can anyone help with a lookup for William Smith b abt 1801 in orlestone and his wife Sarah ? b abt 1807 in Hinxhill. Their children were all born in Mersham so the marriage may be in that parish but only a guess.

Thanks

The dates of the kids would be a clue as to the date of the marriage.
and presumably they had kids b after 1837 too? MMN should be obtainable from that.

Hi Chris

I've got PRs for Mersham, no sign of the marriage there (a William Smith married in 1829, but that was to a Mary Ann HYDER)

The childrens baptisms are there, have you got the details?

Hi Chris.
The Mid Kent Marriage Index has a marriage of William Smith to Sarah Chittenden 8th December 1827 at Kennington. Kennington parish is immediately adjacent to Hinxhill.
                                        Regards,
