Am wondering if anyone can help with the 1861 and 1871 census entries for Edward Hood. He was born in Ryarsh, Kent in the last quarter of 1843, and appears on the 1851 census with his father Edward and mother Jane. The next entry I can find for him is the 1881 census where he is shown as being married to Emily, with a son Edward. I have all the census entries for him thereafter - right up to the 1911 census. During all that period he was livingin Addington, West Malling, Kent. However, I can't find his marriage to Emily, which I am assuming took place in the early 1860s, or where he was living in 1861 and 1871. Any help gratefully received. Thanks,

Would it help if you were to purchase the certificate for the son Edward on 1881, it should give you an address prior to 1881
I have looked to no avail even with just a search of persons being born in Ryarsh
There is a marriage of
Edward Hoad
to a possible
Emily Kemp
Sept 1867
Tunbridge
I am not sure where Ryarsh would be in the registries

According to 1881, 1881 & 1891 census, Edward's wife was Ellen (not Emily)

I can't see any of the family in 1861 and 1871 either. This appears to be the parents in 1881 & 1891 if it helps anybody else find them ...............
