FLAGG of Ditcheat
« on: Saturday 05 September 09 18:39 UTC (UK) »

Hi
We have traced our family back to a Benjamin Flagg b.1805 in Ditcheat. We know his parents are William And Edith ( Hoare ). William was christened in 1765 in Baltonsborough next to Ditcheat. on the IGI record the parents are given as William Flagg and Grace ( Bennett ).I have an IGI record for William and Grace both born in Ditcheat and married there. On the record it gives 4 children and our William falls between Hannah b.1763 and Ann b.1775 both in Ditcheat. Our William tho is not on this record . Question was St Mary Magdalane the Ditcheat church closed for several years thru this period which is why our William was christened in the neighboring parish. or are William and Grace of Ditcheat the wrong ones all though they are on his IGI record as being the parents?
Hoping someone can help
Many thanks
