I have Bennett's in my tree who were from Welshpool, not far from Garthmyl/Berriew, and would be more than happy to swap info if you think there might be a connection.

Hi.
I have managed to get the Bennett's back to William Bennett born in Buttington about 1824,he married Mary Breeze, they had 12 children(at the last count). Some of the family are buried in Guilsfield,I managed to find Samuel Bennett (1853-1938)and his wife there and there are more buried in Berriew.
Can you tell me the family you are interested in and if any names are familiar?
Thanks
John

Hi Taywal - I have lots of infrmation of this family. Pictures etc.

My Mother is a Bennett by birth. I was at the family reunion this weekend in Newtown, I would be more than happy to share some information and pictures.

They were marriages to Breeze family. I have a copy of the family tree. Some of the family are buried together in Berriew.

Richard Bennett is my great great grandfather.

Were you at the family reunion this weekend in Newtown?

I have that exact picture of the grave as I visited it on Sunday. A few of my family are in there.

Do you have any more photographs etc? I will be able to send some over to you at some point this week.

I also have a copy of the family tree dating back some time.

Thanks.

Wow!! fantastic thread Cheesy

I have only recently discovered my Bennett line and, as yet, don't have a lot of information.

I'm at work at the moment! but will post my bits of Bennett info later.

Yeah good thread.

I only typed Bennett Crosspipes and didnt really expect anything. Glad I did now.

The reunion was good and met up with people I havent seen in a while and some I havent met ever. There was 4 maybe 5 generations at the reunion.

I got lots of good pics and as mentioned my uncle has sent me a tree which is failry well researched and goes back to the 17th Century I think.

Think I am going to do something similar on my fathers side (who dont originate from Wales).
