Dear All
I am trying to establish the death of Elizabeth CARTER, last seen in Amersham Conservative Club in the 1891 census.
She was then a widow, having been married to Henry CARTER who pre-deceased her before 1891. He was a gardener, employed in various large houses and seen in Hampshire in 1881.
Elizabeth was born in Hatfield, Hertfordshire in 1834 - maiden name HALL FAIRCLOTH.
I can see a couple of possible deaths: in Amersham in 1892 and in Aylesbury in 1898 - but I prefer the former!

OK I realise that I just look horribly mean, failing to take a chance on a death certificate!
So I have in fact ordered one. Nevertheless, there is a chance it will be wrong and I am so short of information on this family - more particularly hubby Henry CARTER, who predeceased her, that I would still welcome any news of his death or obituaries/ burial records in the Amersham area for either of them.
