Hi again.- CARSON
« on: Sunday 06 September 09 17:35 UTC (UK) »

I have a few family members to look for hope someone can help.

The family name is Carson.  Looking for Law Carson, James, Joseph william Birth dates would be great I do know that Joseph william came from Fermanagh Clogher area. His purposed date of birth was approximately 1890. I am also looking for his father also named Joseph

If some one can help I would appreciate it very much Devonmarie

Did you mean to post this on Co. Tyrone board? (Clogher is in Tyrone not Fermanagh).
Index to civil registration lists a Law CARSON died 1886 Clogher registration district age 79 (born c1807) and James Law CARSON born 1895 same district so perhaps related.

From you post is impossible to know if the above information is any help- perhaps you could explain how these men were related (if they were), give us approx. dates, tell us where you' ve already searched and exactly what you want to find so that we can help you.

Please move it to County Tyrone.  I have not much to go on because our family didnot keep notes so I am not sure how these are related but I do know that Law Carson in a picture we had on our wall was much older than Joseph Carson. I need a lot of help with this family.  unfortunately we had a fire and lost our picture. and most of our genealogical material. I have had to start from scratch as it were. Please help if you can. Griffith's Valuation (1860) lists a Law CARSON in Cormore townland, Clogher Parish, Co. Tyrone.

I'll move this thread to Co. Tyrone board. In genealogy, as with most research, you really need to search for information in a logical order. You need to work back step by step. For example, if Joseph William CARSON was born c1890 in Clogher area you'll need to search for his baptism to find his parents' names, then check for their marriage, etc.

If the family were in Ireland in 1911 you can search the census here (site not working well at the moment but keep trying)-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search
There is a James L CARSON in Cormore townland age 15 who is probably the James Law Carson whose birth registration I posted earlier.
