Tipperary and Mdigweed, firstly my apologies for not posting earlier. I'd almost given up on getting any Cooke info and consequently haven't looked at this thread for ages.

Dyson Cooke was my greatgrandfather too!

I'm the son of Sybil Molloy (née Packer), whose mother was Eleanor Cooke, Whose father was Dyson Cooke.

There are Cookes all over the shop. Dyson and his siblings were well travelled.
William - gardener, Derbyshire.
Sarah Ann - nurse, Hertfordshire.
Mary 2 (Mary 1 died young) - servant, Nottinghamshire
Isaac - blacksmith, berkshire
Jesse - farm laboure, Derbyshire

Here's a picture of Dysons dad, Edward Henry Cooke taken at Stoke Ferry in Norfolk 1880-1890.

I've got more Cooke info if you need it. My mum and her brother absolutely adored their grandparents, Dyson and his wife, Emma.
