hi, can any one help with a look up in the 1861 and 1871 census please. looking for
james mayes,born 1808, essex.
lydia mayes,born 1812,essex.
i do not know if they have any children with them.

You were lucky there appears to be only one couple by this name since Essex is a large enough county for them to be lost in without a town for reference.
