1911 irish census

 at last i,ve found my relatives on the irish 1911 census,they lived in a place called clooncon west in galway but is there any way you could find the actual house?it,s not like the english census where there are streets with names and numbers,hoping there,s a chance

Very few places in Ireland had house numbers (usually just cities or large towns) and most rural areas didn't have road names. In mid-1800s Griffith's Valuation listed properties and there were maps to go with them. After the printed version of Griffith's there are a series of valuation notebooks which follow properties in each townland recording changes to tenants, etc. with a series of different coloured inks. For the 6 counties of Northern Ireland the books are in PRONI (Public Record Office of Northern Ireland) and I think the ones for the rest of Ireland are in National Archives, Dublin.
