Hi
Have you obtained a copy of Thomas' Prerogative Court of Canterbury will?
Will of Reverend Thomas Hutchings, Dissenting Minister of Bermondsey , Surrey 07 July 1827 PROB 11/1728

Hello Just connected the Rev. Thomas Hutchings to My family thru Google books and the Baptist Magazine. He married Mary Clark Nabbs of Rye, Sussex in1793. Thomas died in 1827 and is buried in Bunhill. Mary is living at Rothbury House in Southwark in 1841 census independent means. Can't find any mention of Mary being buried in Bunhill with Thomas. Looking for info on Unicorn Yard where he served for 32 years, Rothbury House and son W. who was publishing fathers sermons. thank you very much LizR
Hi mariner,
Not sure if this is relevant, but Unicorn Yard was just off Tooley Street between Stoney Lane & Vine Lane. Apart from the large Brewery, the most noteable building in the 1872 OS map is Green School, a Roman Catholic school. There was a contempory (1842) watercolour painting:

Stoney Lane was later renamed Abbots Lane. Recently the area has been redeveloped and is part of the Potters Field and new London City Hall complex.

Hi
Depending where you are in the world this may not be immediately helpful but I would read the last section of the topic on wills at the top of the London and Middlesex Look up Requests board
A GUIDE TO WILLS IN THE LONDON AREA
The last section is on Death Duty Registers. The National Archives does not have an electronic index to the Death Duty Registers for PCC wills.
