I am simply looking for the street or house details and full names/relationships  of the people listed below plus the entire household in the 1871 Census. Plus was John Baxter in England in 1861

Wepre Gutter, Wepre,  Fintshire

John Baxter lodger 26 Chemical Labourer b. Kildare Ireland
Ellen 27 Housekeeper b. Mestmeath Ireland
Bridget 7m b. Wepre Flintshire.

As always thankyou Rootschatters

Hello Gordon,

The details in the 1871 show Ellen BAXTER to be John's wife and Bridget, their daughter.

I cannot get any more on the address, other than Wepre Gutter. I believe this was a port in those days, it is on the Dee estuary. It is referred to in the narrative on http://angelfire.com/fl/shotton/history5.html Boats were loaded with coal at Wepre Gutter.

There seems to have been something of an Irish colony round there as the households in the 2 previous addresses were all of Irish origins too.

I cannot find John BAXTER in 1861.

Hello again,

Another site which mentions the chemical works etc is at http://www.cpat.org.uk/projects/longer/ports/ports.html

It is the section which covers Connahs Quay that you need. Wepre is linked to Connahs Quay.
