Would anyone know the details for finding the Lambeth Workhouse at Renfrew Road at the time of the 1901 census?
Thanks you .. Lyn

just search for a blank name with status of 'inmate', and use LAMBETH in the Keyword field.

This will show you a random page of the Workhouse ...

RG12/397; Folio 137; Page 1

in fact theres two census 'districts' for it, maybe it was big ...... Renfrew Road is off Lower Kennington Lane

added: turns out that 'Workhouse 'b' ' was elsewhere in the Church Second District - Princes Road ....

Thank you passed master.
My apologies, I put the wrong year on the query I posted. It should have read 1901, not 1891  Lips Sealed
I have a relative who was born in the Workhouse at Renfew Road in 1894. So far I haven't been able to locate her in 1901, but she is shown on the 1911 census. I thought that maybe she may still be in the workhouse in 1901.
Regards .. Lyn

Hi again passed master
A bit of a difficult one this. She was born 12 May 1894. The name on the B/C is Alice May Blessed. Her birth was registered by the Master of the Workhouse - at Renfrew Road Lambeth.  Mother's surname  shown as Blessed, and in 1891 is working as  a domestic servant in Dulwich.

By 1901, Mum is shown as  Ada FREEMAN, widow, working as a housemaid at Romola Road Lambeth.

Now I've found Mum, but cannot find Alice May anywhere in 1901  Huh
