Lucy Ida Kathleen Luffman b1895

She was born at 37 Duke Street Boston in 1895. By my local knowledge admitted some 60 years later I believe she would have attended Staniland School. Would this be the case, and do any records of the school from this period still exist please?

Hi Roger,
Like you I think Ida would have attended Staniland School.
They may still have the admissions registers so it's worth contacting them to ask.
If they don't have the really old ones they might be able to tell you if they were passed on to a particular body. e.g. council, archives, etc.

Thanks Pam, well worth a shot, but I know that her attendance there would have only been one year or less as in 1901 she moved to London before her mother's death.

Not sure if this helps but Lincolnshire Archives have records relating to the Boston School Board 1894-1903. I did find something on Lincolnshire Council's website which says that Staniland Board School in Tydell Crescent was opened late in 1896.

The document reference is SBR/011. Whether they contain the registers is anyone's guess.
