hi there

could anybody help me find the records/census 1861 and 1871 of my gg grandparents RICHARD EVANS (b 1859) LLANGWNADL CAERNARVONSHIRE and his wife CATHERINE (don't know her maiden name) (b 1859) RHIW CAERNARVONSHIRE.

I have tried to find RICHARD on both these censuses to  try to find his parents but have come to a dead end Angry  . i have exhausted all my credit on findmypast.com . not sure what to do now give up i think lol Undecided. unless some kind soul with a spare couple of minutes can help me out  Grin Grin Grin

Northwales BMD has a marriage of Richard EVANS & Catherine EVANS at Llangwnnadl, St Gwynhoedl, in 1879.  Pwllheli register office ref DWYGWNADL/1/E71.   If you search freebmd the GRO marriage reference  is Dec Q 1879 Pwllehli 11b 713.

Have you considered this family at Llangwnadle in 1871?

Margaret Evans, wid, Annuitant, age 55
Ellin Evans, 19
William Evans, 17
Richard Evans 14
Thomas Evans 10

Can't see them in 1861 yet.  Probably best to get the marriage certificate for father's names Wink

Hello Selbombi,

I found a baptism on Freereg for John EVANS in Llangwnadl Parish Church on 04/12/1856. He was the son of Evan and Margaret EVANS.

Also, a baptism for Catherine EVANS at Llangwnadl Parish Church on 04/02/1849, daughter of Griffith and Ellin EVANS.

Just seen the query regarding "annuitant", this means having an income derived from an annuity. It is in the occupation heading on the census, she has said that her income is unearned and derived from annuity.
