Hi I am researching my family tree.  The name is Cooper/Couper and they lived in Rousay, Egilsay and Holm (Newbigging).  I have managed to get back to James Couper born around 1765.  He married Maragret Garriock 1782.  They had two sons Hugh and Alexander.
If anyone can give information on James I would be very grateful.

Hi, on cursiter.com there is a james coupar born to john coupar and katharine linay in holm and paplay on 25/8/1763
