Hello,ive got Elizabeth Gess born 1863 Guernsey with father Henry Gess born 1837 Britchingly on 1881.

On 1891 is Elizabeth Grey born 1867 Guernsey visiting Henry Gess,shes married and is almost certainly his daughter.I cant find her on the 1901,nor can i find any marriage for an Elizabeth Gess,or any variations ive tried,to a person called Grey/Gray.

If anyone can tell me who her husband was id be very grateful,thanks,nel.

Why do you think she is his daughter - is it because she is the right age/birthplace?  She is shown as a visitor yet all others are shown as sons/daughters 

There is an 1883 marriage in Stoke Damerel on freebmd and the family were living in Devon in 1881

Hello Carolw,it is just the the fact shes roughly the right age and birthplace is right.

I had no luck when searching for the marriage,so put Elizabeth Huh born 1867 Guernsey in the 1891,and found this.Since his Elizabeth was the only daughter born Guernsey,i felt it almost certainly was her.

Please would you be able to give the 1883 marriage ref numbers,thanks,nel.

Sorry Carol,i thought it was to a Grey.Ive looked at every marriage i can find,but nones to a Grey/Gray.

None of the marriages ive found fit on the census.

With them being Travellers,the marriage could be at any time,possibly long after first children are born,and anywhere they might have been stopping.

Any Gess-Grey/Gray marriage is possible,or anything similar sounding,thanks,nel.
