TURNER/McGOWN Craigiehall, Parish of Dalmeny
« on: Saturday 12 September 09 21:22 UTC (UK) »

My ancestor was head gardener at Craigiehall Estate from about 1851 and lived there until his death at Temple Craigiehall in 1898.   His wife was Jessie or Janet McGown.   She died in 1871.   Can anyone tell me of the nearest cemetery to Craigiehall Estate?   Does anyone have any info about the Estate at that time?

Thank you

Welcome to Rootchat, Craigiehall Estate info is available on Wiki. It is now owned by the British Army and the house is a Grade A listed building. The entry does not however discuss the intimate details about the estate. Thinlizy
