Hello, Can anyone tell me how i could findwho the parents were of Joseph Preston my GGGrandfather, born approx 1791 St Johns Westminster London. Best Wishes Caroleoh

How are you certain Joseph was b St Johns?Huh

If he is the Joseph with Susan in 1841 - then that is the only census he appears on, as Susan is a widow by 1851

1841 Joseph 's y.o.b. is 1791 and he is living in St Johns Westminster

but 1841 ages were rounded down to nearest 5 years (or should have been) and the only information regarding p.o.b. is "yes" or "no" as to whether they were born in the county they were living in

maybe if you sent for his death cert you would find his y.o.b. - but not place

Hello Suz , Thank you for your reply, i am certain Joseph was living in Westminster but i have no info as to  who his parents were. His wife Susan  was born in Devon, so i suppose he could have originated from there also, but i dont suppose i will ever find out. Thanks again. Caroleoh
