Hi,
We are looking for the marriage of Thomas FRANCIS and Rebecca?? In the Milford area
Both were born between 1781-1785 so the marriage should be after 1800
There is possibly a son William born 1806-1811
Any help in locating them would be wonderful

We have found a family in Marloes from 1813 on Family search which may be the same one

Have you considered Thomas Francis to Rebecca Phillips in 1804 at Marloes ?

Hi Oriel ben fro where have you found that one and what was the dateplease? The Francis family Bible has the dates for the children's births (the first in 1805) but no location it isn't until the 1861 census that one is shown from Marloes
so this is a real break through

I made a note of it whilst up at the Rec Off last month, but totally forgot it was in my note book, so sorry for delay in my reply.
Have you looked at Francis wills from the E.C.C. of St David's, free on the NLoW website.

Hi Oriel,  I am tracing the same family as Trees and shall be making a visit to the Pembroke Records Office in the next 2 weeks to follow up your very exciting lead.  Can you advise how the Marloes records are kept?, i.e. will I need to book a microfilm/fiche reader.  Have had look at the Francis Wills but there are no obvious conections for us there.
Regards

You will find Marloes Parish Registers are on Microfilm and Computor, if you wish to view on the computor link and are travelling distance, then yes I suggest you book a computor for 3 to 4 hours at least.
There is really no need to book Microfim/Fiche reader.
You can view all ECC of St David's wills in the extracts on microfiche, these really are as good as the original for initial research purposes.
Marloes records are all contained in the Marloes catalogue, but Ann, Marie or Nikki will point you in the right direction.
Do not miss out the large surname index, you just never know what might appear and yet so many never bother to look at it.
Rec Off is in the Castle opens at 09:00am, You can contact Rec Off under Cty Council website. If you need directions send me pvte msge.
