Looking for information on John Bishop who was hanged in 1831 at the Old Bailey with Thomas Williams.  Looking for a date and place of his birth.  Any help appreciated.

there was a john bishop, thomas williams, james may. indicted for the murder of carlo ferarai alias charles ferrier
the date of the trial  was 1st dec 1831
the offence took place at kings college(dissecting room)
the age at the time of the trial for john bishop was 33 so born 1798
they turned up at kings college trying to sell a body for 9guineas
john bishop lived at 2,novia scotia gardens, bethnal green at the time of his arrest

Hi

As the trial took place at the Old Bailey John Bishop will have been held at Newgate prison pre and post trial. The National Archives hold the Newgate prison registers (there is nothing online for this prison's records). In the prison register will be a brief description of John Bishop which also usually includes a birthplace.

see The National Archives research guide
