Hi,

I am trying to find who is the first wife of Joseph Surridge who was born in Blisworth in 1809. in the 1851 census he lives in Milton Malsor and he has 3 daughters, Elizabeth Surridge born 1832, Sarah Surridge born 1834 and Mary Ann Surridge born 1850.

Joseph Surridge marries again in 1864 in Northamptonshire to an Elizabeth Walker born 1833 of Roade, some 24 years younger than him. She in turn has her own Son Peter Walker born in 1855 in Roade. I think Elizabeth Walker's maiden name may be Croft from this info from the NMI:

there is a sarah surridge christening on the 8th dec 1833 at milton northants
parents joseph and anne surridge
taken from the IGI no maiden name given for mother
there are also 3 other children attributed to this couple elizabeth,mary,william,john
all are christened in milton
