if the Normanton is Normanton village nt Oakham leics then it will come within Oakham Reg district

(different place to Normanton on Soar)

Normanton on trent and on the Wold are in Nottinghamshire!!!

so confusing!!!!  and we haven't even touched on the Derbys ones!!!!!!

Thanks Suzard
I'll add Oakham Reg district to the growing list of possibilities to keep in mind if/when I can get some certified record.

I initially gave Normanton on Soar the highest marks on my probability scale cos George was a Boatman in 1841, I figured therefore that he would be going up and down the river/canals trying to catch the eye of the ladies...this is a major assumption on my part as I haven't any real clue about the geography of the place.

So, Normanton in Oakham - how accessible would that have been from Loughborough do you know?  cheers and thanks, gladyseva
