So, after I look at all this .... does this mean that Sarah's sister, Jessie, marries Thomas G. Dagg ... her brother-in-law??!

... and in 1916 he travels to the US but does not name Jessie as wife as next of kin (if it is the right Thomas, he doesn't marry her til November) but I don't know if the date on the manifest is Jan 8, 1916 or Aug 1, 1916 !

He's going to see Mother.  Chester must have fallen on hard times as he lives at the YMCA.

I think I will close this inquiry into this particular generation of Clewes - a wild bunch, let me tell ya!  Back to my searches of the Humphreys side of things!
