Hi Dave

Having transcribed the Registers for St Mary-in-the-Castle back in the mid 1990's - I can confirm that my reading of the entry was as follows

Burial: Fortunatus George FIRMANER This Parish 23 Jul 1845 3m

I dont know where he was baptised as there is not an entry in the SMIC Registers or for that matter any other of the Hastings Registers (All Saints, St Clements, Croft (Non Conformist), Ore, Methodist Chapel)

Hi,
Thanks for looking, I was hoping there might be something with his parents names, there is no-one from the family in Hastings at that time.

Cheers,

Hi Dave

Interesting comment - trying to imagine his birth without his mother there Grin  Grin

Obviously his birth was registered in the Hastings Area 3 months prior to his burial, - so a copy of his birth certificate would give you all the details you want.
