Help needed please.
Currently researching Hackland connection, namely George Garston Hackland [born Sandwick 9/12/1827] who is known to have married Maria Stewart Thomson [born 1829 @ Walls] in Stromness. Both they and children ended up in Leith. However, there is a possibility that he was married before this known marriage. The name Cochrane [given name unknown] has cropped up but cannot find any other details either in Scotlands People, IGI etc.
Does anyone have any details of this family through their own research or can any one give me a heads up of where else to look.
