Sherman BRAZIER...Foxton...Little Shelford 18thC?
« on: Tuesday 15 September 09 10:50 UTC (UK) »

Hi again, Everyone,
I'm presently trying to pin down a William BRAZIER/BRAYSHER, father of Susannah BRAYSHER, b. 1772 in Foxton.  This man was buried 27-04-1783, apparently aged 58 in Foxton, and one of the burial entries for his children reads: Sherman BRAZIER 28-09-1777, "fourth son of William".
Now, there's a possible candidate for William BRAZIER which I found in The People of Little Shelford Website, a baptism of 10-08-1729, parents John and Martha.
The interesting connection is that there's another Sherman BRAZIER listed here on the Shelford website which simply states that he was buried 29-05-1753 at All Saints.  No other details, no baptism given anywhere.  With such an unusual similar naming of two distinct individuals, I feel there must be a family connection somewhere between the Little Shelford and Foxton Brazier families.
The maiden name of William's mother Martha is not noted on the website, could it possibly have been SHERMAN.  Does anybody know the answer, or indeed have these individuals in their genealogy...
Very best wishes,
keith
