Goody + Chickall marriage

Hi there,

   I m trying to find a marriage between Henry Goody and Elizabeth Chickall that may have taken place in the Long Melford area c. 1840.

   I can t find a GRO entry for them.  If anybody can help I d be most grateful.

Hi

I don't know whether this is worth looking into:

On the free BMD site there is an entry for Elizabeth CHIAKELL Dec qtr 1839 Sudbury district (which covers Long Melford) Vol 12 Pg 933. Unfortunately there is no spouse to match it with.

     Thanks very much for that.  Yes, a spelling error could very well account for my lack of success.  I ll give this a look.

Hi Linnet,

    Good news,  thanks to your keen eye I can confirm you were correct with the Elizabeth Chiakell entry.   I looked for Henry first under GOODY  then GOODEY and finally found him matching the reference under GOODAY.  Puzzle solved !!
