*Completed - thanks!* Jersey Marriage Walters and Honeycombe
« on: Tuesday 15 September 09 19:37 UTC (UK) »

I would be grateful for some help on the following:

I am trying to trace the Honeycombes in my tree, and there is a Jersey connection somewhere.
My great-grandmother was Elizabeth Catherine Honeycombe Walters (b. 1862)
Her father was Samuel Honeycombe Walters (b. 1842)
His parents were (from birth certificate) Elizabeth Honeycombe (b. app. 1813 from census 1851), and  William Walters (b. app. 1811, also Cornwall).
William and Elizabeth must have married in about 1834 - Samuel's elder brother John Henry Walters was born in Jersey app. 1835 - and I am guessing / hoping the marriage also took place in Jersey, as I can't find a trace of it in Cornwall yet.
I haven't spotted the 1841 census entries - William / Elizabeth / John Walters are rather  frequently-ocurring names.......

Again, grateful for any help on this, please

Ian

Hi Ian

William Walters of Torpoint, Devon, married Elizabeth Honeycombe of St Neot, Cornwall on 22nd Feb 1835 at the Parish Church of St Saviour, Jersey.

There were no other details in the record.

Many thanks for this - it fills a long-time gap in the branch.  Good of you to take the trouble, and hope I can reciprocate some day.
