Thank you for your reply. England is her maiden name. She married Samuel Sprakes in 1863 and in the 1881 census Thorne she is EE Sprakes. In the 1911 census Thorne she is indexed as Emma E. Thank you, Gazania

She's certainly born within the Thorne Registration District
Births Mar 1839
ENGLAND Emma Elizabeth Thorne vol 23 page 605
but not specifically using Thorne as a PoB in 1851/61.
will have another look in the area.

I think this must be her in 1861 - Stainforth is a place within the Thorne District
1861 - RG9/3518; Folio: 27; Page: 12 - Doncaster
'Field House'
In service in the household .... no Head of House or Family are present, just a housekeeper and ....

yes, saw an Elizth, dau of an Ester in Stainforth (Hatfield Parish) in 1841 - but couldnt find the family at all in 1851 .... had to go out.
