HI; I am going waaaay out on a limb here but I have a family form roxburgh Scotland - all the sons were born in England( don't know where, and all the daughters were born in Edinburgh). I  am posting here because it seems to border on the Scottish county of Roxburgh. I thought if I entered some info someone may be researching the same people or be able to give me an idea of how to proceed.

John Smith 1826(7) born Roxburgh married Jane Main ( 1821-1853) born Roxburgh. I can find no record at all on Scotlands People or the free BMD

their sons William 1843-1857, Robert S, 1847-? and John 1848-? were all born England according to census info( but does not say where in England). Daughters Christina ,1850-1903 and Janet 1851 born in Edinburgh.
I can't find a death for Robert or John or  censuses  after 1861 for them either so I thought they might have close ties with family in a border county and gone there.  does anyone have any advise? I am posting this in the other border counties as well. Thanks.  Donna
