Hi All,

I am looking for links to the STINCHCOMBE and HART Families from Chipping Sodbury and Wapley.

My GGGrand father was William STINCHCOMBE born Wapley 1800 (Bishops Transcripts Wapley & Codrington 1800 April 21 William son of Ann STINCHCOMB and illegitimate). I haven't seen the Parish Register entry so if anyone has access I would welcome a look up.

His marriage certificate gives his father as Richard (labourer).

He married Matilda HART (parents William HART & Sophia LUTON m. 1818 Pucklechurch) in Sept 1842 at Bedminster.

I believe William had an older brother Daniel also born in Wapley in 1791.

Father: Richard STINCHCOMB (?)

Spouse: Matilda HART
Birth: 10 Apr 1825, Chipping Sodbury, Gloucestershire, ENG.
Father: William HART (~1775-1860)
Mother: Sophia LUTON (~1797-1860)
Marr: Sept 1842 Bedminster

Children: Hannah (1844-)[Chipping Sodbury]
William Hart (bap.11 Apr 1846-d.11 Apr 1846)[Chipping Sodbury]
Samuel (bap.11 Jun 1848- 13 Feb 1932)
Ellen (bap. 1 Jul 1855-)[Chipping Sodbury]
George (10 Aug 1857-)[Old Sodbury]
Sophia (24 Apr 1860-)[Chipping Sodbury]
Moses (10 Aug1862-)[Chipping Sodbury] William was a pensioner by this time.


Does anyone recognise this family? I am particularly interested in Daniel who might provide me with some confirmation of William's father.
