Hi there, wonder if anyone can help me...
Im after my nan, shes bugging me lol all my other tree lines ive done really well on, but nan, although she lived and died in wolverhampton, there appears to be no trace of her birth...
She was born, 07 mar 1904 (mom knew her birthday and the year is taken from her marriage cert) in, probably monmore green, I say probably as her sister was born there in 1901, they moved a few times around then but only a street or so, still in an area known there as "between the bridges"
The 1911 census still sees her there, and her father is listed in 1917 there, on a rent book (from wolverhampton archives records) and nans first daughter was also born there in 1929... so Im assuming nan was born there, Miner st, or in the street her sister was born... Charter Street
Ive looked at what baptism records wolverhampton archives hold and nothing, but the 1911 census, her father writes that she was, born, wolverhampton
Ive tried wolverhampton registrars, who have searched 5 years either side of her birth, but still, nothing... anyone have any ideas?

huggs ya! hiya Cuz!... yes id found the wandsworth one, but hmmm @ the winifred one... that is "possible", as her sisters daughter, (remember in a post i said an aunt had died the other week?) she named her winifred so.....
Thank you willow, not being able find nan has really annoyed me lol

If you search Winifred on the 1911 I think she is with another family

well this fam is an awkward set of buggers lol, another of nans sisters, who I always knew as aunt beat, is in censuses as Beatrice... but... her name was actually catherine bridgette! ... the first born, william, no trace of birth, second and third born, were registered... but all in all bout 4 wernt registered...
but all... except william (who in the 1911 census turned up as "prisoner"..i havent found what he did yet)... except for william all the others lived in wolverhampton, ellen, (possibly known as nelly) the second born, was born at wolverhampton union workhouse, and she vanished too!although for her... i know that she left to morpeth northumberland, married a "jock woller" thats how his name sounded...and had at least 3 kids....
my monaghans aint been easy lol (not to mention there nan, she has at least 3 surnames of which im not sure which is which lol )
