hello I wanted to find out the household of the corbetts in ashington at the time of 1911, the head of the house was isaac corbett and elizabeth corbett.

I also wanted to find out the marriage between issac corbett and elizabeth scott in the date 1898 or 1899 , I want to find out the exact church they wed at if possible.

Thanks very much David Donald

Hi David,

The only marriage I can find registered for these two names took place in Chester-le-Street, County Durham

Hi David,

This online record only gives bare details of the civil registration of the marriage.  It doesn't even give the parish because, in this instance, Chester-le-Street is the registration district which covers a much wider area.  See here for details

http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/chester-le-street.html

The only way forward would be to order the certificate which would give you location, fathers' names and occupations, ages of the couple and occupations

Hello

From the 1901 census, Isaac and Elizabeth were both from Fatfield, Durham, which is within the Chester Le Street area.

On the 1901 census they were living at Harraton, Chester Le Street, Durham and they had two daughters living with them, Mary born 1899 at Fatfield and Martha born 1901 at Nova Scotia, Harraton, Durham

I believe that they had four more children between 1901 and 1911, which can be found on http://www.freebmd.org.uk/....

James born 1903 at Nova Scotia
Elizabeth born 1905 at Nova Scotia
Lilly born 1907 in the Morpeth area
John born 1909 in the Morpeth area

I have also sent you a PM, mooltan.

Hello

You are welcome.

Or you could tell me how you found it on ancestry.

In 1901 search for Isaac Borbett born 1879 Durham. He has been mistranscribed as such.

I found them by looking for Mary born 1899 with parents called Isaac and Elizabeth in Durham .... after I had used the free search of the 1911 census index
