Does anyone know anything about the people Travelling on the canals around the Lancashire area. ?

I am trying to find information on John William Thompson Born approx /1913 ( so far I have not been able to find a birth record for him.)

His brother Edward Thompson was born 1 oct 1914 @ the Ring O'bells Inn at Lathom, Burscough, Lancashire.

He married Lily Gledhill  15/4/1933  In Burnley. His age shows as 19 ( Lily was 17 )

His Father was Thomas Thompson  ( Born abt 1892 and died between 1913 and 1933 )  and His mother was Sarah Jane Stansfield  B: 13/09/1891 and Died late 1971


any help would be appreeciated
