Hello All,
I am trying to find the children of John James Kirk and his wife Eliza who married in 1880.
The census give their children as thus:
Charles John 1881 Woodcote
Sarah Agnes J 1882 Checkendon
Lucy Florence ca 1884 "
Arthur William 1886 "
Joseph James 1887 Woodcote
Lilly Elizabeth 1888 "
Horace Walter 1889 "
Alfred George 1890 "
Ellen Eliza 1892 "
Ethel May 1894 "
Nathaniel Henry 1895 "
Hubert Tom 1897 "
Edward Maurice 1900 "
As far as I know this couple were Church of England, so if any baptisms could be found, that would be great. They lived in South Stoke in 1891 and I have South Stoke Parish Registers on disc - nothing on them.
Hope someone can help me

Added - Also I can see born at Wallingford Reg Dist 1898 Bessie Eva A Kirk, who is probably a sibling of theirs. She died in the same quarter.

The records in Chekendon are a little blurry so the day may be wrong.

Hello Matt
According to "Oxfordshire Parish Registers and Bishops' Transcripts - Seventh Edition 2006" the baptism, marriage and burial registers for Woodcote 1846+ are still at the church. Woodcote was a liberty and chapelry of South Stoke until 1846 and entries prior to that date will probably be found in the South Stoke registers.

Hi Orpheus,
Thanks for the information. I have the South Stoke Registers on Disc and there are none of my Kirk family on there unfortunately, even though on Censuses they actually lived in South Stoke, not Woodcote.
