Hi All,
Could some please have a look on the 1861 census for me and try and find Joseph and his wife Sarah Barnes for me?
On the 1851 census Joseph Barnes was born in Stock, a Farmer of 117 acres and was age 47 and his wife Sarah was born in Ramsden Crays and was aged 40.
Would appreciate any help

Hi Wendy
Looking on the 1851 the only one I can see is born Buttsbury Essex, and his wife Sarah born 1811 Ramsdon Grays?, living in Stock farmer 117 acres is this the one you want for the 1861  . Have a son William aged 18 and son George aged 14

Hi Ricky,
That's them. Thank-you for finding them for me as it now gives me more information to go on.
George's wife Ellen died sometime between the 1861 and the 1881 census, so that is the next thing I think I will look for.

George was a wid on the 1881, living with the Joseph T Barnes on the other thread you have
