Could some kind soul please check the Passenger list for John Percival PEARSON (known as Percy) born 1886 England, who possibly arrived in Halifax in 1913.
If this is my man, what else can I discover about him in Canada?
He was a seagoing Marine Engineer in England, in Merchant Navy and still in England at time of 1911 Census.
With thanks,
Jill Statton, Adelaide, South Australia

On the marriage record Karen found his occupation was engineer. That might tie in with the record of death on 3 July 1914 at Cameron Island Lake of the Woods, Kenora County, Ontario for John Percival Pearson. Cause - accidental drowning. Occupation mechanical engineer. Age 28 years. No next of kin given or parents to definitely link this to your Percy.

That would be difficult to ascertain. Ancestry.ca has online birth records up until 1909 for Ontario and up until 1912 are available through microfilm searches. 1913 births won't be released to the public until sometime in 2010.
