Hi,
I have the 1851 transcription of the Peter McDowall family.  They were in Glen Luce at that time.  I'm trying to decide if the following Peter McDowall is the same family in 1861 -- if so they've moved -- before buying the 1861 or 1871 census transcriptions.   

1861 MCDOWALL PETER M 46 KIRKMAIDEN /WIGTOWN 890/00 008/00 002

And it seems that this same Peter is still living in Kirkmaiden in 1871.

From 1851 in Glen Luce:
McDowall, Peter, head, 36, ploughman
Margaret, wife, 43
Mary, daughter, 14
Margaret, daughter, 12
Jean, daughter, 11
Agnes, daughter, 8
??, daughter, 6
John, son, 3
Peter, son, 5 months

So I don't think they're 'yours'

Your 1851 ?? daughter age 6 is listed as Jessie
